WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT? As our Inside Sales Specialist, you will join a talented, dedicated and knowledgeable Higher Education sales team. Your role will have a dual focus of managing existing customer accounts and developing new business opportunities throughout the United States language education market.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Consistently employ a consultative sales approach, smart selling techniques and active listening skills to align product offerings with customer needs to win new business and grow accounts
- Strategically develop, manage and execute on business development opportunities
- Effectively utilize, update and leverage the CRM (salesforce) daily
- Prepare and virtually present persuasive and targeted sales presentations
- Generate leads by strategically establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers
- Develop and maintain strong understanding of VHL products
- Participate in national sales meetings, networking events, conferences and team meetings
- Partner with Customer Success team to ensure customers are supported as needed
- Effectively collaborate with Marketing team members and other stakeholders
- Other tasks and responsibilities assigned as needed
YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 1+ years of successful consultative sales, account management and/or customer success work experience that involved prospecting, territory management and contract negotiation
- Experience using video-conferencing tools (GTM, WebEx, Zoom, etc.) to conduct virtual product demos or sales presentations
- Exceptional communication, active listening, organization, time-management and follow through skills
- Experience using a CRM as the main resource to manage day-to-day sales/account activities, run reports and analyze data
- Strong client/customer relationship building and management skills
IDEAL IF YOU HAVE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)
- Industry knowledge or experience (i.e. Higher Education, ed-tech, digital learning, etc.)
- VHL specific product familiarity a plus
- Experience using Salesforce
LOCATION – Hybrid Boston/Remote
This role is a Hybrid Boston, MA/remote work arrangement during the work week and requires three days of in-office time (Tues/Thurs minimum). Our office is located at 500 Boylston Street, Boston, MA. Candidates must reside locally and within a reasonable distance to the office to be considered. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
