Job Summary
During this internship, you will become an active member of the Information Technology (IT) Security Team, completing a wide variety of responsibilities that support our objectives of sustaining long term competitiveness and growth.
Along the way you’ll get to meet and work the IT leaders who are responsible for all aspects of insurance and investment management technology.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in supporting Nassau’s annual IT controls audit.
- Assist with desktop support.
- Perform data collection, organizing control evidence for review / submission to internal and or external auditing partners and writing procedure /training documentation.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to develop proactive maintenance strategies that enhance application and infrastructure reliability
- Performing data analysis to predict and curb failures before they occur
- Planning performance evaluation tests to determine potential production and security risks and implementing controls in scripted mode
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or any other Information management disciplines.
- Understanding of Identity Management
- Experience with Microsoft Office, O365, AWS,or Azure is preferred.
- Possess proficient and professional verbal and written communication skills essential to interacting with all levels of Nassau management as well external partners / suppliers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, working as a member of a team or independently.
- Self-starter that is not afraid to ask questions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented and drive projects to completion
- Ability to manage multiple assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess critical thinking / problem solving skills
- Ability to use various applications/software (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Peoplesoft)
