ROLE:
A Personnel Assistant at Canobie Lake Park is the first point of contact for all applicants looking for a role within our business. You will serve as a representative of the company that recruits talent and assists new Team Members through the onboarding procedures. The position requires a high level of professionalism and confidentiality during interactions with applicants and Team Members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizing incoming applications for department managers to review based on department needs
- Scheduling Interviews for various departments
- Scheduling paperwork appointments & General Orientations for applicants upon hire
- Contacting potential applicants to fill various department’s needs
- Answering phone calls for various needs (i.e.: Scheduling interviews, paperwork and orientations, job references, how to apply for a job, various inquiries for various departments)
- Ensure the completion of paperwork for all Team Members prior to their start date
- Filing documents into Team Member’s department folders
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- An interest in a Personnel/Human Resources career
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of higher education preferred
- Must be patient, poised and courteous while working with others
- A positive attitude and alertness are required
- Must be proactive and safety conscious as well as able to interpret both written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to pass verbal, written and/or interactive exams after appropriate training
- Must have the ability to respond and act quickly in various situations
- Must adhere to the serious nature of the job and follow strict guidelines
- Must be a self-starter, problem-solver, and able to work under pressure
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
