Amundi US is seeking a meticulous Quantitative Risk Analyst, Model Risk Management CUSO to join our Model Risk Management team.
CUSO (“Combined U.S. Operations) is responsible for developing and coordinating a comprehensive and integrated Compliance function within Amundi US, Inc. and reporting on this function to the Credit Agricole CUSO Compliance team.
In this role, you will validate and oversee the performance of critical investment and risk analytics models, both internally developed and from external providers.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for the quantitative investment and risk analytics models utilized across all business lines at Amundi US, ensuring compliance with model risk management standards
- Lead the rigorous review and validation process for models like Touchstone, MSCI Risk Metrics, and Bloomberg GRM, maintaining a keen eye on accuracy and effectiveness
- Collaborate closely with model users and developers to conduct ongoing performance monitoring, including meticulous back-testing
- Oversee any external model review activities, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and regulatory guidelines
- Address and resolve any issues raised during the model review process, documenting finding and implementing solutions
- Develop insightful reports and recommendations for presentation to the Model Risk Management Committee
- Facilitate clear communication across business lines and stakeholders, including model owners, developers, and senior leadership, to meet all deadlines effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with a focus on financial or data analysis and statistical coursework
- Master’s degree in Finance or quantitative field preferred
- 2 years work experience in financial services or quantitative fields preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of VBA is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in interactions with portfolio managers and senior managers
- Preferred certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CQF are desirable
- Familiarity with a coding language like Python is a plus
