Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, recently commented that he “would love to have some high energy actuaries” at Tesla. Musk said, “I have great respect for the actuarial profession… [Actuaries] are great at math. …We want revolutionary actuaries.” With the company growing at a fast pace, and other large companies looking for individuals that have technical training, business acuity and risk management skills, actuaries will have an important place in the future of business.
