The Healthcare/Biotech/Pharma Career Community is focused on exploring the business of healthcare, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. The Health and Industry Career Community will expose students to functional roles and career paths within small, medium, and large companies across a variety of industries with professionals representing medical device, healthcare institutions, insurance, and many more.
While applying to different positions, it is important to think about how to stand out amongst other applicants. One way to do so is by creating a portfolio. A portfolio is a place where you can showcase a collection of your best work and highlight your credentials and awards. Sometimes one is required, but even when it is not, providing an employer with your portfolio shows employers what you are capable of and adds immense value to your application.
Oftentimes, we place our professional development at the bottom of our priority list. This year, take a moment to think about what you would like to achieve in terms of your career. Setting specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely (SMART) goals at the beginning of the year will increase your chances of actually achieving your goals.
