Brown Brothers Harriman: 2024 Private Banking & Investment Management Diversity Mentorship Program

The BBH Diversity Mentorship Program provides students who identify as ethnically diverse the opportunity to learn more about a career in Private Banking and Investment Management while networking with professionals who provide guidance and support with resume building and interview preparation. Participants have an opportunity to participate in the interview process for the following year’s BBH Summer Internship Program.  APPLY HERE!

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

  • Program will run March 20th – April 24th
  • Six-week virtual program designed for ethnically diverse students in their sophomore year
  • Weekly calls with pre-matched mentors helping participants navigate career planning
  • Required weekly E-learning curriculum supporting mentorship growth held on Wednesdays at 5:00 – 6:00 PM EST

WHAT WE WILL COVER:

  • Financial markets and the economy
  • Financial services and banking industries
  • Resume building and Q&A strategies
  • Personal branding and career planning

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:

  • Required attendance and active participation in weekly zoom meetings. All meetings will be every Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00 PM EST
  • Participation in weekly one-on-one mentorship and career coaching

PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

  • Intensive interview preparation and practice
  • One-on-one mentorship and career coaching
  • Leadership skills and technical training through a required weekly virtual meeting
  • Opportunity to learn from and network with finance professionals
  • Participants will have an opportunity to participate in the interview process for the following year’s BBH Summer Internship Program

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Students who identify as African American/Black or Hispanic/Latinx
  • Class of 2026 (current college sophomores)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Passion for teamwork and success
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
