Career Collectives: Finance Community

Finance is all about money – how to manage it, spend it, and make it. Whether you aspire to be a wealth management professional, an asset manager, a corporate finance leader, or anything in between, strong financial knowledge is relevant to any company, large or small.

Regardless of experience or position, anyone can benefit from learning more about the financial industry.  Check out these three resources to either gain a new expertise or satiate your curiosity:

Podcast: Motley Fool Money

This podcast is a great way to stay informed about current financial events, as told by respected analysts.  A wide variety of industries are mentioned in each podcast and often have special guests. They are almost an hour-long and are released weekly on Fridays!

Podcast: Matt Mccall Moneyline

This is another engaging podcast.  It focuses on projections and ideas, more than what is happening in the news today.  New episodes are released sporadically and can be watched as videos, or listened to like traditional podcasts.

Book: A Random Walk Down Wall Street by Burton Malkiel

This book is so popular that it is currently on its 12th edition with 1.5 million copies in print today.  It can serve as a great guide for investments from stocks and bonds to cryptocurrencies. The author is a successful Princeton economist whose books are based on his Random Walk hypothesis.
