Last week Instagram made news in the US when their CEO announced they will be hiding likes from posts. This concept was tested in 7 countries over the summer. The company continues to say they want users to “focus on the photos and videos you share, not how many likes they get.” As is the case for most corporate decisions this change brought on a multitude of feedback, criticisms and “likes”. One group that has the potential to be impacted the most are influencers and the kind of marketing they execute on a daily basis.
