Have you ever been upset to see plastic bags, cigarettes butts, and candy wrappers littering your favorite park, school or just along the street or alongside a freeway? Do you wish your school or college provided recycling bins for single-use water bottles? What about the worldwide impact our consumption habits are having as a society? What if everyone in the World cared and helped protect the environment as much as you do?

If you’re reading this then we want to invite you to participate in the Environmental Awareness Scholarship Essay!

APPLICATION

There will be (2) scholarships presented, each as a $1,000 check in the winner’s name or to an accredited school in the name of the winner. The scholarship is not transferable.

Scholarship essay entries must be received by the due date of the deadline. All scholarship essays must be submitted through application form at the bottom of this page. Only one entry per person, group or classroom will be accepted. Multiple entries will be disqualified.

AWARDS

ReuseThisBag.com is proud to offer 2 scholarship awards, each for $1,000 to college or high school students, student groups, or classrooms whose scholarship essay application most effectively answers the question through creativity, community engagement, and activism. Scholarships are offered every September 1st and February 1st.

Winners will be announced in Fall and Spring of each year. They are free to use their awards however they choose, but they are encouraged to use their awards for continued study, development of their advocacy campaigns or simply to help fund their environmentally themed classroom activities.

To recognize your commitments and efforts to make a difference in your communities, every winner will receive a Certificate acknowledging the acceptance of this award.
