The Hartford Early Career Leadership Development Program (ECLDP)

Being a part of the Early Career Leadership Development Program (ECLDP) at The Hartford is everything I could have wanted and more. I received an internship with the program in the Product track in the summer of 2015 and worked on a state product management team completing rate reviews for homeowners insurance. Fortunately I was offered a full-time position and came back in July 2016 to continue to be part of the Product track and continue working on rate reviews for automobile insurance.

The program gives you exposure to three different areas in the track, each offering a 6-12 month rotation. ECLDP allows you to network with a variety of people, from senior executives all the way to other ECLDP associates from different tracks. Being able to experience different areas of the business allows me to find my way within the company and see what interests me the most. The rotation managers and ECLDP managers work together diligently with you to provide the best program experience you could imagine.

The Hartford is a very collaborate work environment where everyone helps and encourages each other to succeed and reach their fullest potential. We work with all areas and tracks of the business to make sure we are able to provide the best services to our customers and follow through on our value statement. There is on-the-job training and mentoring, giving you the full experience the second you walk in the door.

Bentley has provided me with a great skill set to be successful right from the start by getting an internship and coming back for a full-time position. The Early Career Leadership Development Program looks for students with an exceptional work ethic, leadership skills, and accepts a variety of majors for their different tracks.
