Are you a senior interested in careers related to marketing, communications, user experience, or media? If so, now is the time to start your job search!
There is a common misconception that employers do not hire for these “creative engagement” related roles until the spring, but this is not entirely true. In the past two weeks on BentleyLink alone, over a dozen of these types of full-time post-grad jobs were posted… and many of them have yet to have a single application submitted! This number of postings will only increase.
So what do the numbers actually look like? Historically about five percent of students interested in these types of careers have landed before winter break. That being said, there is room to drastically increase this as many positions have simply gone unfilled due to a lack of applications. If you’re searching now, you have a chance to reach the recruiters before others do! Another perk of being in the game now is that many of the positions that students land in this time of year are through Bentley facilitated sources like on-campus interviewing which have an average salary that is 8% or $3,700 higher than those who obtained jobs from other sources.
