BEHIND THE SCENES: RECRUITING INSIGHTS

Winter Break is quickly approaching—promising us much-needed relaxation, home-cooked meals, and hopefully, some free time. If you’re like us, you might have a lot of downtime during winter break, so why not use that time productively? Just because it’s time for us to take a break from Bentley, doesn’t mean it’s time to take a break from the job search!

The good news: there are resources to help you even when you’re off campus over the holidays. In fact, Career Services has gone paperless! The Virtual Career Center can act as the Career Services office for you during this winter break (although Career Services is actually open from January 2nd on…). Whether you need samples of cover letters or you need to prepare for an interview, all of the resources are on the Virtual Career Center that can be accessed through BentleyLink!

Although this is ideal and convenient for students throughout the semester, it can be especially helpful over winter break. Even though you aren’t on campus you can still be working hard to find a summer internship or a full-time position. The Virtual Career Center has helpful information for anything you can imagine. There are currently 90 documents for undergraduate students and 29 documents for graduate students. The documents range from packets of information for students studying different majors to interview preparation tips to offer etiquette. You can also watch videos of workshops presented by Career Services advisors. The list of resources is endless! Take a look here: LINK to VCC.

And don’t forget to keep checking BentleyLink for new job postings. We may be on break, but the Recruiting Office will be up and running—posting new full-time and internship opportunities!
