Students speak of interning experience at The Hartford

This summer, I am working at The Hartford in the Technology Leadership Development Program as a Project Control Analyst. In my assignment, I am re-creating an Access database used for staffing purposes in one of the largest projects in the company, so that it is more efficient and has a wider range of functionality. I also do a lot of process analysis in order to identify ways in which the project team could use computer skills to increase efficiency in their day-to-day tasks. On Fridays, I am working on a “capstone” project with other interns in which we are given a current problem that The Hartford is facing and working to develop and present a solution to upper management.
