American Association of People with Disabilities

The American Association of People with Disabilities is a convener, connector, and catalyst for change, increasing the political and economic power of people with disabilities.

AAPD is dedicated to encouraging and growing young leaders that will help further the interests of the disability community. We have established various programs in pursuit of this goal, including our Summer Internship Program, the Disability Advocacy Certificate Program and our Alumni Network. These initiatives have connected emerging leaders with disabilities to mentors and employers that can help them gain more experience and develop their skills.
