A Hands-on Summer Experience for Rising College Seniors and Recent Graduates
About the Fellowship
Each summer, the District of Massachusetts proudly hosts the Lindsay Fellowship, a transformative nine-week paid program designed for six rising college seniors and recent graduates aspiring to pursue a law-related career. This Fellowship provides a unique opportunity to develop both professional and personal skills through immersive, hands-on experiences. Fellows are assigned to a Judge’s chambers and gain exposure to various divisions within the federal court system, including the Pretrial and Probation Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the Federal Public Defender’s Office. This diverse array of work environments equips each Fellow with valuable insights and prepares them for the next steps in their careers.
In addition to practical experience, Fellows will engage in educational courses that emphasize legal research, writing, and public speaking. The program culminates in a moot court, providing Fellows with the opportunity to showcase their skills before a federal judge.
