Summer 2020 entry level opportunities are available as a Financial Accountant within a variety of areas within the TJX Corporate Accounting organization.
Every day, you’ll discover what makes working at TJX so different—by providing business and project analytical support for critical accounting initiatives. You will be assigned projects that contribute to business strategy, assist with daily activities within the Accounting function, and collaborate with experienced financial professionals to ensure we are managing and executing assigned projects and deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities may include:
/ Ensuring all transactions are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP
/ Preparing journal entries and accruals to ensure accuracy of the General Ledger
/ Completing P&L variance analysis and commentary for management review
/ Issuing expense reporting and analysis; meet monthly with non-Finance departments to review results
/ Preparing accurate and timely account reconciliations (including variance resolution)
/ Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
/ Performing special projects as necessary
Who We Are Looking For: It Just Might Be You.
We are looking for students who are highly motivated self-starters and who possess the ability to prioritize effectively, be proactive and flexible, and thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment. Additional skills include:
/ A genuine interest in Corporate Accounting
/ Proficiency in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, charts, v-look up, etc.)
/ Oracle/ ERP experience a plus
/ Prior internship in an accounting-related field a plus
/ A high level of curiosity
/ Strong quantitative and analytical skills
/ Detail oriented
/ Excellent communicator
/ A well-founded academic background—GPA of 3.0 or above
/ Eligible to start in the summer of 2020
/ Students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (other majors may be
