About the role:
The Marlborough based Operations Finance Team is looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our organization. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance and Human Resources organizations in the areas of budgeting, reporting, financial analysis and accounting.
This position requires an individual with strong analytical, communication, planning, accounting and business partnership skills. The analyst will provide financial support to the leadership of the functions listed above and will have direct interaction with Senior Management Team Members such as the CAO / Chief General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and the head of Human Resources. The role will also involve partnership with other Corporate Finance functions (FP&A, Accounting, Audit), business unit and operations finance globally.
Your responsibilities include:
Monitor and report spending versus budget, perform variance analysis; support Global Functions in understanding and controlling their respective budgets
Prepare monthly/quarterly close activities, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in all financial planning activities for the functions listed above, including strategic plan, annual operating plan, and forecasts for operating expenses and headcount; help ensure adherence to financial targets
Assist in the development of integrated expense analysis, projections, reports and presentations
Help identify and analyze operational issues for functions
Partner with Global Finance, Legal Operations, and Corporate Accounting in support of monthly close and quarterly accrual process
Ad hoc reporting and projects as needed
Drive continuous improvement of processes and analytics. Document and maintain work instructions.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
2-4 years of relevant experience
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
Very strong analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be a quick learner and able to engage well with internal and external customers
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required, Financial tools (Hyperion (Essbase), SAP, OPT) preferred
