We’re super excited to announce that Ashoka and General Motors are launching the third annual Our Planet, Our Purpose: STEM for Changemaking Challenge, a social innovation challenge for young environmental changemakers across the country.
Ashoka and GM recognize young people as leaders driving a more sustainable future, and we’re committed to collaborating with partners in the youth space to help grow the movement. We would love your support to identify powerful young changemakers to participate in this challenge.
Here’s what you need to know about the Our Planet, Our Purpose: STEM for Changemaking Challenge:
- ELIGIBILITY: We’re looking for young changemakers ages 14-20 in the United States and its territories. All young people must have at least one teammate they collaborate with.
- SUSTAINABILITY: Applicants must have a pre-existing project or social venture that focuses on environmental sustainability.
- PRIZES: Changemakers with winning projects will receive seed funding, ongoing mentorship, and publicity to support their projects. Winners will also be invited to the virtual Our Planet, Our Purpose Changemaker Summit, a three-day immersive experience with mentorship, coaching, and skill building.
APPLICATIONS DUE BY FEB 11: Our online application opens on December 1, 2020 and closes on February 11, 2021. Young people who apply by January 14, 2021 will be eligible to win a $1,000 early entry prize.
