First-Year & Sophomore Community

First-Year students and Sophomores start defining and narrowing their major and career objectives by embarking in Career Development Introduction 101 and 201 (CDI 101 & 201), the EXPLORE & EXPERIMENT stages of their HIRE Education. With the assistance and support of Career Colleagues, the First-Year & Sophomore Community will provide a “homebase” for first and second-year students as they start developing their job search toolkit in CDI 101 in the spring of their first year and deciding on major choices, exploring potential career paths and industries, gaining deeper awareness and understanding of their talents, and putting together their customized career action plans in CDI 201 on Job Search Readiness in fall of their second year.
