Analytics is the discovery, interpretation, and communication of meaningful patterns in data to improve decision making. As a methodology, it draws upon multiple disciplines (mathematics, statistics, computer science, and information systems) to improve business performance across all industries. The Analytics Career Community will expose students to how businesses use analytics (and analytical tools) to understand consumer behavior, to predict performance, and to manage risk and explore functional roles for undergraduates such as web analyst, risk analyst, market research analyst, data analyst, pricing analyst, and actuary, among many others.
