Why Join Berkshire:
As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in real estate investment and sustainability while working alongside industry experts. The program includes mentorship, panel discussions with functional leaders, networking opportunities with senior executives, property tours, and a community volunteering event. You’ll conclude the program by presenting your project and insights to Berkshire’s Senior Leadership Team.

Sustainability Intern Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily operations of the Berkshire THRIVE Sustainability initiative.
  • Develop written and visual materials for education, marketing, and reporting.
  • Analyze sustainability performance data, including emissions, energy efficiency, and climate risk metrics.
  • Conduct research on emerging sustainability trends and technologies.
  • Assist with internal projects focused on renewable energy, carbon reduction, resilience, and risk management.

Who They’re Looking For:

  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Business, Environmental Science, or Sustainable Investing with an expected graduation date in 2027.
  • Passionate about improving the sustainability of the built environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Available to work in person from June to mid-August, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills with attention to detail.
