Join the Abacus Actuaries Student Program 2025 – Sign up by 7/13/25

Check out this opportunity to get some great exposure to the actuarial field!

This is a 100% free, virtual program organized by volunteer actuaries from diverse practice areas. It’s designed to help students explore the actuarial profession and strengthen their career preparation. The program is open to students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and responses collected during sign-up help us tailor the content to be as relevant and helpful as possible.

We’ve received excellent feedback indicating that this program is highly beneficial for students preparing for actuarial internships or job recruitment this fall. The sign-up period is currently open, with responses due by July 13, 2025. The sign-up form can be accessed here: https://forms.office.com/r/3tcMsxhxpC.

Here’s a quick overview of the program timeline:

  1. Sign-up Period (until July 13, 2025): Please complete this sign-up form by July 13. Your responses will help us tailor the content to your interests. We’ll recruit actuaries with relevant experience based on what students indicate on this form.
  1. Session Registration Period (July 21–31, 2025): After sign-up closes, you’ll receive a registration form with a menu of topics and schedules. You’ll be able to pick the sessions that interest you most—think of it like university course registration. Once submitted, you’ll receive your virtual invitations by email (and optional text notifications if you opt in).
  1. Student Program Week 1–2 (August 4–15) – live speaker panels: Join 30–45 minute live sessions on weekdays with experienced actuaries. Topics and Schedules are based on your selected interests.
  1. Student Program Week 3-4 (August 18–29) – career prep sessions: If you attend at least five sessions, you’ll be eligible for résumé reviews and mock interviews with volunteer actuaries. These small-group sessions may have limited availability.

More information is available in the sign-up form and in the flyer below.
