Short Job Tip Videos For Those Interested In Creative Work, Marketing & Communications

A large of piece of my role as a career coach is to meet with students who want and need career advice. That’s the easy part. The hard part is helping students find time in their busy schedules to follow up on the advice given. I get it, we all get distracted or have to manage other priorities. For some of us we need time to digest the information we just received. And for all of us, attention spans have dwindled. Part of what we talk about in a 15 or 30 minute meeting might not reach the students brain in the most efficient or productive manner as intended. To help combat this I would like to introduce a resource on the Centerforcommunication.org. The site has a fairly new archive of over 500 videos called JOB TIPS. They live under the resources tab. Each video is only between 49 seconds and up to 3 minutes in length, so short and sweet. They cover topics such as creating an impactful portfolio, networking, interviewing, podcasting, managing self confidence and many many more. They are also presented by professionals in respective industries from a variety of companies. I encourage you to take a few minutes and check these out.
