Did You Know Bentley Has a Magazine? 📰

Bentley University has its very own Bentley Magazine, covering a wide range of topics from student success and campus initiatives to insightful research and alumni achievements. The magazine’s recent issue covered critical topics shaping the university and its community. A central theme is mental health and well-being, highlighted in the feature article “Are the Kids all Right?” This piece examines the importance of mental health support for student success and its implications for future workplaces. Licensed psychologist and Assistant Professor Oyenike Balogun-Mwangi emphasizes that neglecting mental health can adversely affect productivity and financial outcomes for organizations. (Interesting fact: Professor Oyenike Balogun-Mwangi was my professor for my very first psychology class, and she is one of the reasons I decided to pursue a minor in psychology!)

The magazine also celebrates Bentley’s recognition with the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine. This honor reflects the university’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment through initiatives like BentleyFirst, the MOSAIC Experience, and the Rainbow Scholars Program.

Additionally, for the seventh consecutive year (as of 2024), Bentley student-athletes have achieved the highest graduation rate in the nation at 99%, according to the NCAA’s latest Division II ranking. This accomplishment underscores the university’s dedication to academic excellence among its athletes.

The issue also introduces Bentley’s new Executive and Professional Education programs, designed to equip business leaders with essential skills in areas such as AI integration, corporate governance, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. These programs aim to prepare professionals to navigate and lead in today’s dynamic market. The full Summer 2024 issue of Bentley Magazine is available online and here.
