Upcoming MIS @ Bentley Seminar: Exploring AI and Fairness in Organizations

The CIS Department has exciting news to announce, the first MIS @ Bentley seminar of Fall 2024! This semester’s series will focus on pressing issues in Artificial Intelligence, a field that’s rapidly transforming organizations worldwide. Our first speaker, Elmira van den Broek, Assistant Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics, will present her research on “AI and Fairness in Organizations: The Role of a Growing Symbiosis Between AI and HR in Navigating Fairness Tensions” on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 12:00 PM. Elmira’s work has been published in top journals, including MIS Quarterly, and has earned multiple awards, including the Grigor McClelland Award for Best Doctoral Dissertation in 2022. We encourage everyone interested in AI, fairness, or organizational studies to attend.
