A Message for Rising Sophomores from the Bentley Investment Banking Club!

The Bentley Investment Banking Club e-board has been hard at work this summer creating a comprehensive plan to help motivated students in the Class of 2027 prepare for Summer 2026 recruiting, which will kick off in early 2025!

If you’re a rising sophomore planning on pursuing a career in investment banking, please read on for some important information from the IBC…

  • Networking and Technical Prep: The Investment Banking Club strongly recommends you start networking and reviewing technical concepts over the summer. This will create a solid base for you to build on throughout the coming year.
  • Club Plans for the Upcoming Year:  The IBC e-board is working diligently to create a comprehensive technical review program and to organize events with professionals working in investment banking.  The club plans to meet weekly for technical training sessions and on an ad-hoc basis as speakers are available.  This program will be extremely helpful to all students looking to break into high finance!
  • Joining the Club:  The IBC is looking for members who are putting as much effort into recruiting as they are into building the club’s programming!  The IBC will be conducting informal interviews to assess your understanding of basic technical concepts and your networking efforts.
  • Timeline: With IB recruiting getting earlier by the year, the IBC needs to hit the ground running for maximum impact.  Interview signups will open during the week of Sunday, August 25 and interviews will be held from Friday, August 30 through Sunday, September 8. The first club meeting will be held on Thursday, September 12 after night bombs. All subsequent meetings will be held on Thursdays after night bombs.  The IBC will follow an aggressive timeline (1-2 meetings per week, e.g., one technical session, one speaker) to ensure that all participants get the training they need to be successful in IB recruiting.  Check your email and/or CareerEdge for further details in August!
