The Center for Communications – An Invaluable Industry Resource

Would you like to learn more about the media industry?  Is access to influential industry figures important to you?  Do you want to be informed about the ever evolving media industry? If you answer yes to 1, 2 or all 3 of these questions then you need to explore the Center for Communications website.  Coming directly from the mission statement: “The Center for Communications is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing more diversity to the media industry and giving students access to influential figures who can speak about the business today.”

The Center for communications hosts FREE seminars all year long.  The seminars feature professionals and figures from the world of journalism, television, filmmaking, social media, book and magazine publishing, public relations, advertising and marketing.  Additionally,  they occasionally post internships and job opportunities.  There is a robust cornucopia of recorded events on their video page.  However,  the opportunity to connect and grow your network through this site might be the most valuable aspect.  I encourage you to explore, attend a free seminar and grow your knowledge and network.
