A recent article written by Amanda Postma highlights the reasons why being an LGBTQ+ ally in the workplace is so important nowadays, as well as an extensive guide on how to become an ally. GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign define being an ally as “if you show support for equality in numerous ways, support LGBTQ+ persons or are an advocate for equality and fair treatment”, and with more and more individuals coming out every year, it is essential that they feel safe and supported, in and out of the workplace.
