Seniors to Freshman: What I Wish I Knew ….

Seniors are the ones who have finally done it all. They came and conquered Bentley for the past four years and they now know the campus inside and out. Taking a look back on their Bentley experience, some of the current Class of 2020 seniors reflect on their time and share advice to their younger self. This post is aimed to inspire and motivate younger students, especially freshman, on how to navigate their career path while at Bentley and as a college student.

When I was a freshman, I wish I knew ….

I wish I knew “….

-Ari Revelas

I wish I knew “….to try as many new things as possible. Making mistakes is so important, it is the stepping stone to self-growth and finding out what you really want in life. Everything in the beginning of college is new, so take advantage of it. Ask new people to hang out, say yes when new people ask you, and prioritize going to places you have never been before, even if you have to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. In retrospect, the experiences and memories made from times like these form who you are.”

-Molly O’Sullivan

I wish I knew “…the importance of networking with upperclassman. I think everyone gets caught up in networking and connecting with alumni, but it’s also important to network with those still in college who’ve already gone through multiple hiring processes. Who knows, maybe that junior slamming beers and losing in flipcup is the next “Warren Buffet”
