Advice from the Career Colleagues Part Three

The Career Colleagues team is a group of students on campus who work within the Undergraduate Career Services Office. Since the team works daily with everything and anything career related, they are a great source of advice because they have seen the good, the bad and the ugly, when it comes to your career. Here are a few pieces of advice each team member wanted to share with the larger Bentley community:

“Always be looking to expand your network, skills, and experiences. This is the time to explore jobs and industries to see if it would be a potential interest for an internship or full time opportunity later on. Bentley alumni love when Bentley students reach out to them to hear about their experiences so use LinkedIn to your advantage.”

  •  Sarah Laufeld, Major: Marketing

“Bentley is a fantastic school with a ton of resources and people who are happy to help. Be sure to take advantage of the programs and opportunities early in your time here because it’ll be sure to pay off. Along the way, you’ll expand your network and meet people who you can build relationships with both at Bentley and post-grad.

  • Lynn-Yen Koh, Major: Finance

“Bentley offers so many resources to empower every student to succeed so make sure you are taking full advantage. I would definitely recommend coming into Career Services, meeting with a Career Advisor, and networking, networking, networking!! Although deciding on a career path may be tough, Bentley will provide you with so many opportunities to launch a career you are truly passionate about”

  • Nicole Perez, Major: CIS
