McKinsey Retail Store: What Does This Mean for the Consulting Industry?

McKinsey, a prominent consulting firm, has recently opened a retail location in the Mall of America, which will serve as a real-life retail R&D lab.  This store will be used to test hypotheses within both the retail and the technology industries. Both consultants and clients will use the collected research, as the company is looking to determine which technology will perform the best with respect to sales. McKinsey’s end goal for the store is to be able to provide an immersive shopping experience for shoppers.
