The HostingAdvice.com Future Web Developers Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students aspiring to attain employment in the IT sector. Eligible majors include tracks of study in a number of computer science-related fields, including, but not limited to, web development, software engineering, digital security, systems management, artificial intelligence, networking, and data analytics, among others.

A grant of $1,000 will be awarded to an applicant based on the following criteria: academic excellence as exemplified by GPA, civic involvement, extracurricular activities, and a written essay not to exceed 1,000 words.

Requirements

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Majoring in a computer science-related field
  • Must be a U.S. resident
  • Must submit an official transcript
  • Must be a current or future college student (e.g., high school senior)
  • Scholarship must go to tuition purposes (will be paid directly to the university/college)
  • Complete an essay for submission (see essay guidelines below)
  • Submit a cover letter outlining civic involvement and/or extracurricular activities
