The Importance of The RSVP

Hello Falcons and welcome back to campus! We hope you had a relaxing winter break and are ready to kickoff the new school year because we certainly are. Career services is excited to announce many new upcoming events and networking opportunities for the Spring semester, some of which are beginning THIS WEEK!

As we jump right in to the semester, we would like to take the time to reiterate the importance of RSVP-ing to events and following through with attendance. We often invite professionals to campus and we want to ensure that they have a productive experience while here. Each event we organize has the ultimate goal of educating you and/or connecting you to employers and building your professional network, so when you RSVP and don’t show up for a program, it sets an unprofessional tone.

We understand that life happens, and if something comes up, simply connect with our office by calling 781-891-2375 to let us know that you can no longer attend an event. Moving forward, our expectation is if you RSVP for a program or workshop, you will attend. Please note that if we notice multiple no-shows, you will be contacted to meet with Alyssa Hammond to discuss this issue.

This message is not intended to discourage you from attending events, but rather to emphasize the importance of following through with your commitments. If you are still pursuing your full time or internship search, please be sure to take advantage of any or all programs we offer; which can be found under the workshops and employer events on bentleylink or on the events tab of CareeEdge. We look forward to a fun and productive semester, see you soon!
