A New Year to MAKE IT HAPPEN

Happy New Year to my students!

New Years is my favorite time of the year. I feel reenergized to move forward with positivity and an eagerness to set new goals for 2018. I usually decide on a theme for the New Year, and my 2018 theme is MAKE IT HAPPEN.

A new year is a time for new beginnings. For sophomores, your new beginning could begin with this new semester where you will be introduced to your first major-related course(s). What a great experience to be able to attend a class where the subject matter excites you and has you yearning to learn so much more. For juniors, this semester might be a time where you realize your confidence and know you can render some great solutions to business problems.  For seniors, the academic year has gone by way too fast (I hear this from my seniors all the time!) and feelings of bitter sweet can enter into the mindset because the next big step is launching a career.

These are all wonderful events that are happening to you. This is the perfect time to decide how you are going to embrace this new year and what your motivators will be.

As you continue on the path of being productive and keeping to your New Year’s resolutions, let me encourage you to remember to expend good energy into your job search.

I’m looking forward to a great 2018, working with my student and hopefully we can MAKE IT HAPPEN!
