CIS Career Success Panel Recap

On Wednesday, October 18th, Bentley students came to the CIS Studio to learn more about the career paths that students with a major or minor in Computer Information Systems (CIS) can pursue. A panel consisting of a CIS alum, CIS seniors and CIS juniors talked about their success with this major/minor regarding getting internships. They also shared insight into their favorite CIS classes that are offered here at Bentley. The presentation was led by Professor David Yates and Janet Ehl, Director of Recruiting and Employer Relations. They explained that the technology  industry is growing at an exponential rate, creating a bigger job market for technology majors like CIS. The opportunities for CIS majors and minors extend across all industries and functions said Janet Ehl, and pay very well too. Professor Yates added that there are not enough CIS students to fulfill the job opportunities Bentley gets each year. If you’re considering majoring in CIS or would like more information about the opportunities within the industry, you may want to schedule a meeting with Professor Yates or with Janet to get their advice!
