Study Abroad Preparation

abroad

How are you feeling?  Have you gotten the bug?  The travel bug that is…  Studying abroad is an amazing experience for those who choose to pursue it.  We in Career Services get many questions from you all as you are making decisions about whether to go abroad and when is the “right time” for your major.  The answer is it all depends on what you want to do and whenever you go, you can make it work with the right amount of planning.  It is because of these questions, and some misperceptions out there, that Undergraduate Career Services and International Education team up to present “Landing the Summer Internship:  How to Plan Before, During and After Study Abroad”.  This program is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd from 2:00-3:20 in LaCava 375.  Come hear how you can make all of your plans work with preparation and hard work!

For those of you out there who are committed to studying abroad in the Spring of 2016, come in and see a career advisor BEFORE you leave campus at the end of the semester.  We can definitely work with you virtually while you are gone, but it is so much better if we can meet with you face to face.  Plan ahead and have your resume and cover letter finalized before you leave so you are ready to send them along at a moment’s notice when you are abroad.
