Get Involved and Develop your Skills!

What do you do outside of class to develop your skills and experience as they relate to your major and career goals?

Outside of the classroom, I love getting involved in as much as possible because I feel like everything I take part in will help!

From swim team to other clubs and organizations, everything helps build skills like effective communication and leadership. Most importantly, I am part of a professional business fraternity on campus, Alpha Kappa Psi, to a point where I constantly spend time to develop myself professionally with a group of people like family with similar ambitions and aspirations.

Another way I develop skills related to my major and career goals is by getting involved with internships, and if I enjoy the internship, to keep in touch and help out as much as possible. Old internship mentors are always looking for a helping hand, so if I’m home or can do work remotely I love to keep up the connection and help out.
