John Hancock’s new Business Case Competition for Accounting Majors (Freshmen & Sophomores) – deadline 4/6!

The First Annual John Hancock Business Case Competition is a one day event, for accounting majors who anticipate graduating between May 2017 and May 2018 (rising sophomores or juniors). Students selected from local area business schools will have the opportunity to compete and spend the day at John Hancock’s corporate office in the Seaport District on August 7th.

The students will be placed onto teams that consist of current members of the John Hancock CPA Development Program and summer interns from the US Finance Division and John Hancock Investments (Mutual Fund complex).  The business case will require participants to think critically, to collaborate and to present their findings/recommendations  to a panel of judges. Judges will be selected from leadership throughout the Company.

The judges will select the top two teams  First place team members will receive $500 each and second place team members will receive $250 each. The student from the winning team will also be guaranteed an interview for either a summer internship opportunity or the John Hancock CPA Development Program.

Breakfast and Lunch will be included as well reimbursement for parking.

Applicants must submit a copy of their resume and a brief one paragraph explanation as to why they would be a good candidate for this competition.
